We gave an Austin client looking to hire a Destop/IT support person. This is a full time position with Benifits etc. They are a fast growing company with offices around the world in a very fast growing industry.

To support our continued growth and success, we are seeking an experienced Desktop Support Analyst to join our team supporting our rapidly growing workforce. You will provide front-line support for all employees across our various locations. Working as part of our small, hands-on Corporate IT Operations team , you will be the “go to” person for technical issues in our growing office in Austin TX. But this isn’t a classic Level 1 role – we are an organization of player-coaches and you’ll have the opportunity to own solutions, develop deeper technical skills and be on the front line of enabling a high performance global company.
Your Challenge:
- Provide excellent service to all levels of the organization
- Manage the email and telecommunications infrastructure and applications
- Install, configure and maintain systems to company IT standards (local and remote)
- Fully understand, be compliant with, and assist users in complying with IT and security policies and procedures
- Update and upgrade systems (drivers, antivirus, security patches, hardware)
- Manage backups (monitoring, restorations, capacity planning)
- Assist in the documentation of policies and procedures
- Identify support and training opportunities and proactively resolve
- Communicate with a remote team to ensure the local team gets high-quality service
- Work effectively within a high security PCI-DSS Level 1 Certified environment
Required Skills and Experience:
- At least 2 years of recent experience with MS Windows IT Support
- A College diploma in a related field
- Strong PC software, hardware and network troubleshooting skills
- General networking knowledge (firewalls, gateways, routing, proxy, other protocols)
- Basic concepts on the administration of Active Directory Domain and Group Policy
- Commitment to learn about the latest Microsoft and security technologies and grow with us!
- Software support experience (MS Office, Email, Browsers)
- Ticketing system experience
- Remote administration experience (Dameware or equivalent)
- Experience with centralized administration of PC services (i.e. Antivirus, OS Deployment, software installation)
- You have excellent communication and customer service skills and the ability to move effortlessly between in-person, voice/video and text/IM/email streams as the situation demands
- You’re self-reliant but not afraid to ask questions
- You have previously supported mobile sales and marketing teams
- You have or are working on your MCSE/MSCA or equivalent Microsoft certifications
