We have a Coppel TX client with an immediate need for a Technical Support person This is hourly full time position.
To be qualified you must have 2-3 years supporting Mail and Printing Machines.
Technical knowledge and understanding of Pitney Bowes equipment a must
Duties and Responsibilities
Maintains high level of mail processing equipment up time through knowledge of products and customer requirements.
Combines competent functional knowledge of equipment with customer application(s) and use. May help in planning and coordinating installations through Service Manager.
Responsibilities will include:
Repair folding and inserting equipment.
Keeps current with applicable technologies through formal and informal education.
Contributes to revenue growth through solicitation and sales of billable consulting services, parts, labor, including supplies, etc.
Provides added value to customer through recommendation of billable consulting services and upgrades or by other means: parts, supplies, etc.
Protects revenues by ensuring integrity of metered mail.
Adheres to all statutory and company mandated safety regulations and informs customers and/or internal staff of any and all concerns.
Qualifications / Requirements:
Proven performance (a minimum of 5 years) in field technical service and customer relations for complex business equipment and systems such as but not limited to mailing equipment, inserters, laser and thermal printers, copiers, facsimile machines, LAN, telecommunications equipment, ATM machines; must have 5 years experience or greater using Pitney Bowes or Bell and Howell equipment.
Specialization in electro mechanics, electronics and computer hardware/software
PC literacy including working knowledge of MS Office suite required
Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software and peripheral device problems
Ability to read and interpret schematics, charts, service manuals and parts diagrams required
Ability to actively solicit and deliver new billable consulting services
Strong oral and written communication and organization skills
Excellent listening, interpersonal and observation skills
Ability to adapt to changing environment in the areas of products and technology, customer personalities and customer knowledge levels
Ability to transport/lift up to 50 lbs. with or without accommodation
Willingness to travel long-distance for training and customer visits required.
